Food Drives

Catholic Charities sponsors food drives in Catholic parishes in Saint Augustine.  Various drives are held monthly, quarterly, and annually.  We would like to expand our food drives to other denominations.

•  Individual Contributors

We are always grateful to receive direct contributions of non-perishable food items.  Please bring all donations to our office located at 225 West King Street.  Click here for directions.

The following are some of our most desperately needed items:

  • Peanut Butter

  • Jelly / Jam

  • Cereal

  • Spaghetti

  • Spaghetti Sauce

  • Canned Meat

  • Dried Beans

•  Catholic Schools Week

During this time, all Catholic schools in our area collect designated items.  For example, one school may gather diapers and baby food while another collects canned goods.

•  Letter Carriers Food Drive

Usually in May, postal workers in St. Johns county collect food people leave by their mailboxes.  Catholic Charities is one of nine area organizations who benefit from this generosity.

•  Scouting for Food

In one of the largest food drives of the year, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts conduct a door to door food drive in St. Augustine.  One half of all food collected is donated to Catholic Charities.
