Sharing Hope This Christmas Season

This holiday season, as we gather with loved ones to celebrate, many in our community will face another day without food, shelter, or the comfort of family. The need is real, and it is urgent. But with your help, we can offer the greatest gift of all— hope. For over 50 years, Catholic Charities St. Augustine has been a pillar of support for the most vulnerable in our community, helping those facing hunger, homelessness, and poverty rebuild their lives. But we can’t do it without you. Your generosity helps provide the life-changing resources that so many desperately need.

Consider the story of Carlos, a single father of two young children who recently came to Catholic Charities after being let go from his longtime employer due to downsizing. With bills piling up and rent overdue, Carlos was terrified at the thought of his

family becoming homeless. He had never been in this position before, and he didn’t know where to turn. Carlos found Catholic Charities and worked closely with our Case Managers who connected him to a job placement program, helping him secure stable employment. Catholic Charities also helped cover his rent arrears and provided his family with food through our emergency food program. Today, Carlos is back on his feet, providing for his children, and his family is no longer facing the uncertainty of homelessness.

When you make a gift to Catholic Charities, you are directly helping families like Carlos’s—families who are fighting to stay together and keep their homes. Your contribution provides food to the hungry, assistance to families at risk of eviction, and support for individuals struggling with crisis. Every dollar you give goes to providing these life-saving resources.

This holiday season, we ask that you join us in making sure no one in our community has to face their challenges alone. Your generosity brings peace and hope to families who need it most. Together, we can help those who are struggling find the support they need to rebuild their lives.

See how your help transformed other lives in our local community...

Thank you for your compassion and commitment to helping our neighbors in need. We are deeply grateful for your continued support.

With immense gratitude,

Tara Provini

Regional Director, Catholic Charities St. Augustine
